EVET is unique as it offers instruction and specific victim training for professionals working in the fields of law enforcement, prosecution, child protective services, social work, probation departments, medical field, child care agencies, healthcare agencies, mental health field, education, community advocacy - any and all professionals who may come into contact with a crime victim.

CONFERENCE ON CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN

The 9th Annual Conference on Crimes Against Women will be held in Dallas, TX March 31st - April 2nd. Members of the SARC Sexual Assault Response Teams will be attending the conference to gain more information and knowledge on best practices for law enforcement, prosecution, advocacy, medical practices, emergency response, etc.,

We would like to thank ALL our SART members for their dedication to all the survivors of sexual violence in the Brazos Valley.

The Sexual Assault Resource Center is hosting its annual Teal Ribbon Run 5K in recognition of
National Sexual Assault Awareness Month:

Saturday, April 27, 2013

7:30 a.m. - On-Site Registration
9:00 a.m. - 5K Race Begins
Location: Scott & White, 1600 University Drive, College Station
Prizes will be awarded to top 3 finishers in each category and the runner who comes dressed in the most teal.

We walk and run in support of prevention, education and counseling, and in celebration of the healing of those who have survived sexual violence in our community.

The TAMU Women's Resource Center will be hosting Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® on April 9, from 5:00pm- 8:30pm at Koldus Plaza as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an opportunity for both men and women to raise awareness in our Bryan-College Station community about the serious causes and effects of rape, sexual assault and gender violence.
