Was I Raped?

There are three main considerations deterring whether or not a sexual act is consensual or a crime.
  1. Are participants old enough to consent?
  2. Did participants have capacity to consent?
  3. Did participants agree to take part?
These guidelines usually come with other questions.
  • What if I did not say “no”?
  • What if I did not resist?
  • What if I was unconscious or had been drinking?
  • What if I am in a relationship with the person?
These questions rarely mean it was not sexual assault.  Please contact us to discuss specific questions.
