Here at SARC, we strive to keep our community updated and informed. Whether that be through our Instagram, Facebook, or now our fresh new blog, we want to create a space where people can come learn more about what we stand for, serious issues faced by our community, and how you can help or be helped.
Now, you are probably wondering… What exactly is SARC? Well, keep checking this post to find out more!
The Sexual Assault Resource Centers mission is to end the cycle of sexual violence in the Brazos Valley through education, empowerment, and advocacy. The Sexual Assault Resource Center began in 1981 when several members of the Brazos County District Attorneys Office began to see a need for services for survivors of sexual assault.
Some services we offer are
Crisis Intervention
Counseling
Education and Outreach
Volunteer Opportunities
With all this in mind, there is a space for you here at SARC. Whether you or someone you know needs support, or you want to be a warrior for the cause to end sexual violence, do not hesitate to contact us or call our 24/7 crisis hotline (979) 731-1000. We see you, we hear you, and we believe you.
